# KnowBe4 Learner App vs PMI Official

The clearest difference is rating: PMI Official at 4.9 against KnowBe4 Learner App's 4.0. PMI Official also leads on ratings volume (451 vs 53). KnowBe4 Learner App's advantage is review sentiment (44% vs 17%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PMI Official holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PMI Official has 451 ratings behind it against 53, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of KnowBe4 Learner App's written reviews are positive against 17% of PMI Official's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
