# Noveltells vs JoyNovel

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Noveltells at 1.1K against JoyNovel's 12. Noveltells also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (61% vs 43%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Noveltells sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and JoyNovel sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Noveltells against 4.6 for JoyNovel. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Noveltells has 1.1K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 61% of Noveltells's written reviews are positive against 43% of JoyNovel's.

Noveltells ships an update every 2 weeks, JoyNovel every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
