# IPTV Player vs NexTv

The clearest difference is rating: IPTV Player at 4.3 against NexTv's 1.7. IPTV Player also leads on ratings volume (918 vs 12). NexTv's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (53% vs 38%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IPTV Player sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and NexTv sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IPTV Player holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IPTV Player has 918 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of IPTV Player's written reviews are positive against 53% of NexTv's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
