# IPTV Player vs Ib Player

The clearest difference is monetization model: Ib Player at free with in-app purchases against IPTV Player's subscription. Ib Player also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and review sentiment (48% vs 38%). IPTV Player's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IPTV Player sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Ib Player sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ib Player holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 918 and 470 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 38% of IPTV Player's written reviews are positive against 48% of Ib Player's.

IPTV Player ships an update every 3 weeks, Ib Player every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
