# Minikin vs OWOW.ai

Minikin and OWOW.ai both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 94% of OWOW.ai's written reviews are positive against 50% of Minikin's. OWOW.ai also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (145 vs 16). Minikin's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OWOW.ai sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Minikin asks for nothing beyond the download.

Minikin holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OWOW.ai has 145 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Minikin's written reviews are positive against 94% of OWOW.ai's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Minikin ships an update every 3 weeks, OWOW.ai every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
