# 有道纵横棋院 vs 象棋助手

The clearest difference is monetization model: 象棋助手 at free against 有道纵横棋院's free with in-app purchases. 象棋助手 also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). 有道纵横棋院's advantage is ratings volume (166 vs 2) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 有道纵横棋院 sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and 象棋助手 sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

象棋助手 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 有道纵横棋院 has 166 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
