# One Step Ahead vs 1root

The clearest difference is update cadence: 1root at every 3 weeks against One Step Ahead's every 4 months. 1root also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

One Step Ahead ships an update every 4 months, 1root every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 3, 2026.
