# A Basic Girls Guide vs Digital Planner for iPad

The clearest difference is rating: Digital Planner for iPad at 4.3 against A Basic Girls Guide's 3.7. Digital Planner for iPad also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (2.1K vs 3). A Basic Girls Guide's advantage is review sentiment (81% vs 44%) and iOS requirement (14.2 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. A Basic Girls Guide sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month and Digital Planner for iPad sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Digital Planner for iPad holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Digital Planner for iPad has 2.1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of A Basic Girls Guide's written reviews are positive against 44% of Digital Planner for iPad's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

A Basic Girls Guide ships an update every 2 months, Digital Planner for iPad every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
