# Escape From Clive vs Pre Master

The clearest difference is ads: Pre Master at none against Escape From Clive's shown. Pre Master also leads on rating (3.6 vs 3.2) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). Escape From Clive's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 36%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Escape From Clive sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pre Master sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pre Master holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 3.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 31 and 43 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Escape From Clive's written reviews are positive against 36% of Pre Master's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Escape From Clive ships an update fortnightly, Pre Master every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on June 23, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
