# Whisper MSG vs NoChat

The clearest difference is rating: Whisper MSG at 5.0 against NoChat's 4.7. Whisper MSG also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). NoChat's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 80%) and ratings volume (24 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Whisper MSG holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NoChat has 24 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Whisper MSG's written reviews are positive against 100% of NoChat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Whisper MSG ships an update every 9 days, NoChat every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
