# Urtopia vs Freedare

The clearest difference is rating: Freedare at 3.7 against Urtopia's 2.9. Urtopia's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (14% vs 0%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Freedare holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Urtopia has 72 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of Urtopia's written reviews are positive against 0% of Freedare's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Urtopia ships an update monthly, Freedare every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
