# CAMEX vs Movix

The clearest difference is update cadence: Movix at every 3 weeks against CAMEX's every 5 months. Movix also leads on rating (4.2 vs 4.0). CAMEX's advantage is ratings volume (26 vs 5) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Movix holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CAMEX has 26 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CAMEX ships an update every 5 months, Movix every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
