# Float vs OffIine Video Saver

The clearest difference is monetization model: Float at free with in-app purchases against OffIine Video Saver's subscription. Float also leads on ratings volume (9.2K vs 184). OffIine Video Saver's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Float sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and OffIine Video Saver sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Float against 4.6 for OffIine Video Saver. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Float has 9.2K ratings behind it against 184, so its average is the more settled of the two.
