# TV Cast vs Tally

The clearest difference is ads: Tally at none against TV Cast's shown. Tally also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TV Cast sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Tally sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TV Cast ships an update every 3 months, Tally every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
