# Taco Palenque vs Ginger Cafe

The clearest difference is monetization model: Ginger Cafe at free against Taco Palenque's free with in-app purchases. Taco Palenque's advantage is ratings volume (22K vs 13). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Taco Palenque against 5.0 for Ginger Cafe. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Taco Palenque has 22K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Taco Palenque ships an update monthly, Ginger Cafe every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
