# Green VPN vs Submap

The clearest difference is update cadence: Submap at every 5 days against Green VPN's fortnightly. Green VPN's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Green VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Submap sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Green VPN ships an update fortnightly, Submap every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
