# Homework Helper vs Photo Math Solver

The clearest difference is rating: Homework Helper at 3.6 against Photo Math Solver's 1.0. Homework Helper also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 7 months). Photo Math Solver's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 25%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Homework Helper sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Photo Math Solver sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Homework Helper holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Homework Helper has 99 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Homework Helper's written reviews are positive against 67% of Photo Math Solver's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Homework Helper ships an update every 2 weeks, Photo Math Solver every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
