# Spray Rates vs Speedometer GPS

The clearest difference is update cadence: Speedometer GPS at every 3 weeks against Spray Rates's every 9 months. Spray Rates's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spray Rates sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Speedometer GPS sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spray Rates ships an update every 9 months, Speedometer GPS every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
