# OptiListen vs Mumble Note

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: OptiListen at none against Mumble Note's 4. OptiListen also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). Mumble Note's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (50 vs 3). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mumble Note sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.00 per month. OptiListen asks for nothing beyond the download.

OptiListen holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mumble Note has 50 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

OptiListen ships an update every 6 months, Mumble Note every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
