# BigBearVPN vs CordC

The clearest difference is rating: CordC at 3.3 against BigBearVPN's 2.8. CordC also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (50% vs 40%). BigBearVPN's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (330 vs 17). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BigBearVPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and CordC sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CordC holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BigBearVPN has 330 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 40% of BigBearVPN's written reviews are positive against 50% of CordC's.

BigBearVPN ships an update every 3 weeks, CordC every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
