# MX Player vs Quicket

The clearest difference is rating: MX Player at 4.4 against Quicket's 2.3. MX Player also leads on ratings volume (14K vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Quicket's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 14 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MX Player holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MX Player has 14K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MX Player ships an update every 14 months, Quicket every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
