# selfer vs Parallel Camera

The clearest difference is review sentiment: selfer at 100% against Parallel Camera's 33%. selfer also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.0) and ads (none vs shown). Parallel Camera's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. selfer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Parallel Camera sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

selfer holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: selfer has 96 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of selfer's written reviews are positive against 33% of Parallel Camera's.

selfer ships an update monthly, Parallel Camera fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
