# Buff Muff vs Aura

The clearest difference is rating: Aura at 4.6 against Buff Muff's 3.6. Aura also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (2.2K vs 166). Buff Muff's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (56% vs 23%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Buff Muff sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $15.00 per month and Aura sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Aura holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aura has 2.2K ratings behind it against 166, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Buff Muff's written reviews are positive against 23% of Aura's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Buff Muff ships an update every 5 weeks, Aura every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
