# Prompt 3 vs Nerd Font Installer

The clearest difference is rating: Nerd Font Installer at 5.0 against Prompt 3's 4.3. Nerd Font Installer also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). Prompt 3's advantage is ratings volume (379 vs 1) and chart position (#41 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prompt 3 sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year and Nerd Font Installer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nerd Font Installer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prompt 3 has 379 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Prompt 3 ships an update every 6 weeks, Nerd Font Installer every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
