# COMIC MAKER STUDIO vs Cute pet

The clearest difference is monetization model: COMIC MAKER STUDIO at free with in-app purchases against Cute pet's subscription. Cute pet's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (4.5K vs 37). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. COMIC MAKER STUDIO sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Cute pet sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cute pet holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cute pet has 4.5K ratings behind it against 37, so its average is the more settled of the two.
