# PC Matic Mobile Security vs Service First

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Service First at 55% against PC Matic Mobile Security's 10%. Service First also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 17 months) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). PC Matic Mobile Security's advantage is rating (3.7 vs 3.1) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PC Matic Mobile Security holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PC Matic Mobile Security has 121 ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of PC Matic Mobile Security's written reviews are positive against 55% of Service First's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PC Matic Mobile Security ships an update every 17 months, Service First every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
