# PC Matic Mobile Security vs Keystroke Lock

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Keystroke Lock at 50% against PC Matic Mobile Security's 10%. Keystroke Lock also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 17 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). PC Matic Mobile Security's advantage is rating (3.6 vs 3.3) and ratings volume (90 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PC Matic Mobile Security holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PC Matic Mobile Security has 90 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of PC Matic Mobile Security's written reviews are positive against 50% of Keystroke Lock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PC Matic Mobile Security ships an update every 17 months, Keystroke Lock every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
