# DeDuplicate vs MEGA VPN

The clearest difference is price: MEGA VPN at Free against DeDuplicate's $7.99. MEGA VPN also leads on review sentiment (57% vs 48%). DeDuplicate's advantage is chart position (#191 vs unranked) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On rating, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

MEGA VPN is free to download; DeDuplicate costs $7.99 up front. DeDuplicate sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and MEGA VPN sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for DeDuplicate against 4.6 for MEGA VPN. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 130 and 309 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 48% of DeDuplicate's written reviews are positive against 57% of MEGA VPN's.

DeDuplicate ships an update every 2 weeks, MEGA VPN monthly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
