# tracker detect vs Find Device

The clearest difference is monetization model: Find Device at free with in-app purchases against tracker detect's subscription. Find Device also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and review sentiment (67% vs 43%). tracker detect's advantage is ratings volume (8.5K vs 8) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. tracker detect sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Find Device sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Find Device holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: tracker detect has 8.5K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 43% of tracker detect's written reviews are positive against 67% of Find Device's.

tracker detect ships an update every 2 months, Find Device every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
