# TextCrypt vs Wrapp

The clearest difference is rating: Wrapp at 5.0 against TextCrypt's 4.5. Wrapp also leads on ads (none vs shown). TextCrypt's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 83%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.2). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TextCrypt sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Wrapp sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wrapp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of TextCrypt's written reviews are positive against 83% of Wrapp's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TextCrypt ships an update monthly, Wrapp fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
