# TextCrypt vs ZipChest

The clearest difference is device support: TextCrypt at 3 against ZipChest's 1. TextCrypt also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TextCrypt sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and ZipChest sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
