# Elele vs NZ Chat

Elele and NZ Chat both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of NZ Chat's written reviews are positive against 64% of Elele's. NZ Chat also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly). Elele's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 5) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.6). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Elele sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $2.89 per 7 days and NZ Chat sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NZ Chat holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Elele has 1.5K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 64% of Elele's written reviews are positive against 100% of NZ Chat's.

Elele ships an update monthly, NZ Chat every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
