# Elele vs Threader

The clearest difference is ads: Threader at none against Elele's shown. Elele's advantage is review sentiment (64% vs 33%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Elele sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $2.89 per 7 days and Threader sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Elele against 4.7 for Threader. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Elele has 1.5K ratings behind it against 149, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 64% of Elele's written reviews are positive against 33% of Threader's.

Elele ships an update monthly, Threader every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
