# Elele vs stdout.chat

The clearest difference is ads: stdout.chat at none against Elele's shown. stdout.chat also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). Elele's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Elele sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $2.89 per 7 days and stdout.chat sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

stdout.chat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Elele has 1.5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Elele ships an update monthly, stdout.chat every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 12, 2026.
