# WSAZ Weather vs WeatherWise.app

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: WSAZ Weather at none against WeatherWise.app's 6. WSAZ Weather also leads on ratings volume (7.3K vs 804). WeatherWise.app's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WeatherWise.app sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. WSAZ Weather asks for nothing beyond the download.

WSAZ Weather holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WSAZ Weather has 7.3K ratings behind it against 804, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of WSAZ Weather's written reviews are positive against 77% of WeatherWise.app's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WSAZ Weather ships an update every 2 months, WeatherWise.app every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
