# Bento vs Snitch

The clearest difference is monetization model: Snitch at free against Bento's freemium. Snitch also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 54%). Bento's advantage is ratings volume (326 vs 53) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bento sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Snitch sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for Bento against 4.1 for Snitch. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bento has 326 ratings behind it against 53, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 54% of Bento's written reviews are positive against 67% of Snitch's.

Bento ships an update weekly, Snitch every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
