# Mimelet vs Bumballon

The clearest difference is rating: Bumballon at 4.6 against Mimelet's 3.9. Bumballon also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 10 months). Mimelet's advantage is review sentiment (79% vs 40%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mimelet sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Bumballon sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bumballon holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 94 and 163 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Mimelet's written reviews are positive against 40% of Bumballon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mimelet ships an update every 10 months, Bumballon fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
