# Opti Kinect vs Cut

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Opti Kinect at none against Cut's 1. Opti Kinect also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 26.0). Cut's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 16 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cut sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Opti Kinect asks for nothing beyond the download.

Opti Kinect ships an update every 16 months, Cut every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
