# KARMA Search vs Search

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: KARMA Search at none against Search's 3. KARMA Search also leads on ratings volume (34 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.6). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Search sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. KARMA Search asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for KARMA Search against 5.0 for Search. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KARMA Search has 34 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 96% of KARMA Search's written reviews are positive against 100% of Search's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
