# X Clock vs Flip Clock

The clearest difference is rating: X Clock at 5.0 against Flip Clock's 4.5. Flip Clock's advantage is ratings volume (56 vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. X Clock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Flip Clock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

X Clock holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flip Clock has 56 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of X Clock's written reviews are positive against 93% of Flip Clock's.

X Clock ships an update every 6 weeks, Flip Clock every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
