# Hobby vs NextACGN

The clearest difference is rating: NextACGN at 5.0 against Hobby's 4.0. Hobby's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hobby sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and NextACGN sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NextACGN holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hobby has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hobby ships an update every 3 weeks, NextACGN every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
