# Empire Afrique vs Afreekaplay

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Afreekaplay at 100% against Empire Afrique's 38%. Empire Afrique's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.3) and in-app purchases (none vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Afreekaplay sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Empire Afrique asks for nothing beyond the download.

Empire Afrique holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Empire Afrique has 297 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Empire Afrique's written reviews are positive against 100% of Afreekaplay's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Empire Afrique ships an update monthly, Afreekaplay every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
