# prefGrab™ vs OkayMessenger

The clearest difference is ads: OkayMessenger at none against prefGrab™'s shown. OkayMessenger also leads on ratings volume (185 vs 7) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). prefGrab™'s advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. prefGrab™ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and OkayMessenger sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

prefGrab™ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OkayMessenger has 185 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

prefGrab™ ships an update fortnightly, OkayMessenger every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
