# SproutAbout vs DeepSpace

The clearest difference is price: SproutAbout at Free against DeepSpace's $0.99. SproutAbout also leads on ratings volume (722 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). DeepSpace's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 2.8) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 weeks). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

SproutAbout is free to download; DeepSpace costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DeepSpace holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SproutAbout has 722 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SproutAbout ships an update every 5 weeks, DeepSpace every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
