# TRAINFITNESS vs MaxxLMS

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MaxxLMS at none against TRAINFITNESS's 1. TRAINFITNESS's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 16 months) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TRAINFITNESS sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. MaxxLMS asks for nothing beyond the download.

TRAINFITNESS ships an update every 2 months, MaxxLMS every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
