# Flow vs Do Not Type

The clearest difference is rating: Do Not Type at 4.9 against Flow's 4.2. Flow's advantage is review sentiment (62% vs 50%) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flow sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Do Not Type sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Do Not Type holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 59 and 36 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Flow's written reviews are positive against 50% of Do Not Type's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flow ships an update weekly, Do Not Type every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
