# Kiprun Pacer Running vs PaceShouter

The clearest difference is rating: Kiprun Pacer Running at 4.7 against PaceShouter's 1.0. Kiprun Pacer Running also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (79 vs 1). PaceShouter's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 60%) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PaceShouter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Kiprun Pacer Running asks for nothing beyond the download.

Kiprun Pacer Running holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kiprun Pacer Running has 79 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Kiprun Pacer Running's written reviews are positive against 100% of PaceShouter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Kiprun Pacer Running ships an update every 2 weeks, PaceShouter every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
