# Countdown vs Bill's Gouge

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Bill's Gouge at none against Countdown's 18. Bill's Gouge also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). Countdown's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (3.1K vs 27). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Bill's Gouge asks for nothing beyond the download.
