# Countdown vs Tickr

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Countdown at 3.1K against Tickr's 4. Tickr's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and review sentiment (100% vs 82%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Tickr sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tickr holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown has 3.1K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 82% of Countdown's written reviews are positive against 100% of Tickr's.

Countdown ships an update weekly, Tickr every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
