# Countdown vs Watch that date

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Watch that date at none against Countdown's 18. Countdown's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Watch that date asks for nothing beyond the download.

Countdown ships an update every 4 days, Watch that date every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
